This commission was created with complete creative freedom. The result is a layered, intuitive composition made with fineliner and acrylic paint — expressive and detailed. The colour palette is inspired by my client’s personality — warm and harmonic.
The creation process of an intuitive work like this begins with a foundation of black lines and circular forms, which define the overall structure and composition. From there, I put the bigger strokes on paper. These strokes always turn out a bit different, so they determine the areas that the painting will be divided in. When I get stuck, I turn to my sketchbooks for pattern inspiration — and keep going from there.
